KSLQ is helping raise money for Special Olympics Missouri (SOMO). “Over The Edge” is one of the largest fundraisers for the Special Olympics Missouri and we want to be a part of it… KSLQ 104.5 has formed a team Q4SOMO to help raise money for this amazing Organization by participating in the 5th Annual OVER THE EDGE for Special Olympics Missouri on OCTOBER 4TH.
Did you know that the Special Olympics Missouri is a year round program of sports training and athletic competition for children AND adults with intellectual disabilities. More than 17,000 athletes participate in 21 Olympic-type Sports throughout the State. Special Olympics provides people with intellectual disabilities continuing opportunities to develop physical fitness, demonstrate courage and experience joy.
We will be rappelling down the front of the Hyatt Regency St. Louis at the Arch so that the Special Olympic athletes in our area can train, compete and enjoy a lifetime of their own thrills. Pam Sikes, Annalise O’Brien, Elissa Miller, Jenny Clark, Brad Hildebrand and Shelley Barr (the Q4SOMO Team – 2014) have pledged to raise $1,000 each to support SOMO, but we need your help! On October 4th, we will go Over The Edge for SOMO by rappelling 17 stories down the front of the Hyatt Regency STL at the Arch. Please help our “Q4 SOMO” team and make a donation to any (all????) of these “Over The Edgers”.
